Established in 2008, the Kalamazoo Curling Club is a group of people who like to curl, want a place to curl, and want more people to curl with. Our four-sheet club is housed in the Annex at Wings Stadium, located at 3600 Vanrick Dr, in Kalamazoo, just off I-94, Exit 80 (map).
Of course, we also want to expand the great sport of curling, a wonderfully fun and social game. If you want to know more about curling, take a look at our “Curling 101″ page, or take a look at the curling entry on Wikipedia.
The inaugural Fall 2008 season consisted of eight teams, and our league expanded to 13 teams the following season. Wings Stadium’s successful bid to host the 2010 US Curling National Championships – coming hot on the heels of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver – should generate more interest and enthusiasm for the sport.
We hope this attention and enthusiasm will translate into a bigger, more robust curling club here in Kalamazoo. Please come out to one of our events, become a member, and sign up for our league!
